Given that both are DRM'd out the wazoo, I don't really care. While I understand their desire to protect their IP, giving them the right to revoke my purchase anytime without compensation whenever it strikes them is not something I will accept. Sony, with their rootkits is slightly higher on my, umm, fecal list, but the other doesn't strike me as much better.

Agreed, the problem though is that over time the quality of DVDs is going to degrade markedly, it's already happening. The boys are going to force anyone wanting a decent picture to upgrade to HD so they can charge more. Look at the quality of the latest Harry Potter compared to previous DVDs of the same series.
