While I understand their desire to protect their IP, giving them the right to revoke my purchase anytime without compensation whenever it strikes them is not something I will accept. Sony, with their rootkits is slightly higher on my, umm, fecal list, but the other doesn't strike me as much better. me: Agreed, the problem though is that over time the quality of DVDs is going to degrade markedly, it's already happening. The boys are going to force anyone wanting a decent picture to upgrade to HD so they can charge more. Look at the quality of the latest Harry Potter compared to previous DVDs of the same series.
