4 out of 5 of the stingrays in my pool were born in the New Orleans Aquarium. I bought them from a wholesaler that gets them directly from the aquarium. When I bought them between March and june of 2003 they were about an 1" bigger than the lid of a standard 16 oz plastic deli container, now they're a little bigger than dinner plates. I bought them as Motoro stingrays but a couple of them may be hybreds. The 5th stingray in my pond is a wild caught Leopoldi stingray. I don't usually keep wild caught pets but he was too adorable to resist.
