Inova Semiconductors Chooses QuickLogic to Extend the Reach of Digital Video; Eclipse II FPGAs Enable the Highest Performance at the Lowest Power for Digital Video Extender Application

SUNNYVALE, Calif., Mar 08, 2005 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- QuickLogic Corporation
(Nasdaq: QUIK), the pioneer of Embedded Standard Products (ESPs), today announced
that the company's Eclipse II family of ultra low power FPGAs was selected by
Inova(R) Semiconductors for use in their Digital Video Interface (DVI) Extender
application. The design, using Inova Semiconductors' GigaSTaR (Gigabit Serial
Transmit and Receive) technology, replaces countless analog solutions currently
being employed today in the digital visualization and infotainment systems
market. This large, emerging market segment is stimulated by the continued cost
reductions seen in the Flat Panel display market.

"QuickLogic enabled us to connect our GigaSTaR Digital Display Link (DDL)
product to the Digital Video Interface (DVI) commonly used in High Definition
(HD) plasma monitors and displays," says Axel Krepil, Sales and Marketing
Director at Inova Semiconductors. "The Eclipse II FPGA we designed with combined
gigabit/s performance and milliwatt power consumption, allowing us to deliver
products to the rapidly growing digital consumer market by enabling our
customers to transmit HD-quality video up to 50 meters and beyond of standard,
low-cost CAT5 cabling."

"Our Eclipse II FPGAs continue to establish the industry benchmark for lowest
power consumption without sacrificing performance," says Brian Faith, Senior
Director of Product Marketing at QuickLogic Corporation. "This enables our
customers to bring high performance applications, such as digital video and
wireless communications to new low power platforms. We are pleased that Inova
Semiconductors has chosen Eclipse II FPGAs to play a key role in their
application due to the intrinsic benefits of our architecture."

About Eclipse II

QuickLogic's Eclipse II uWatt family of ultra-low power FPGAs combines the
enhanced features of next-generation FPGA devices with power consumption lower
than that available with CPLDs. Eclipse II features include densities up to
320,000 system gates, up to 55,000 bits of on-chip dual-port SRAM, and standby
currents as low at 14uA. See the QuickLogic website for additional information
on Eclipse II www.quicklogic.com.

About GigaSTaR Digital Display Link

The GigaSTaR Digital Display Link (DDL) is available in two product families:
DDL165 (transmitter INDT165 and receiver INDR165) for screen resolutions up to
XGA, and DDL330 (INDT330 and INDR330) up to SXGA/UXGA. All DDL chips offer a
configurable digital 12/18/24/36/48 bit RGB interface (PxClk, PxD, HSYNC, VSYNC,
DE), which 1:1 matches many graphic controllers and TFT or plasma display
interfaces.

About INOVA Semiconductors GmbH

INOVA Semiconductors GmbH, with headquarters in Munich, is a competent,
specialist supplier of enabling technologies for the rapidly growing high-speed
data transmission market. Their first strategic product, "GigaSTaR" provides a
miniaturized, integrated chip solution for interference-free, high-speed data
transmission at up to 1.32 Gbits per second via normal STP copper cable, over
distances of 50 meters and beyond, or over 300 meters through fiber optics. You

About QuickLogic

QuickLogic Corporation (Nasdaq: QUIK) invented and has pioneered the Embedded
Standard Product (ESP) architecture, with the introduction of first products in
1998. ESPs are semiconductor devices that deliver the guaranteed performance,
lower cost and lower risk of standard products, coupled with the flexibility and
time-to-market benefits of programmable logic. QuickLogic's proprietary ViaLink
metal-to-metal interconnect technology offers significant benefits -- including
very low power at high performance levels -- to our customers and is the
foundation of our ESP product families, as well as our core FPGA products.
Founded in 1988, the company is located at 1277 Orleans Drive, Sunnyvale, CA
94089-1138. For more information please visit the QuickLogic web site at
