The Communist Nations sending hordes of soldiers and arms under jungle cover to the region, women and children taking up arms to fight our tanks and gun-ships, men living on a bowl of rice per day, hiding in the jungles and rice paddies to ambush our patrols. Tens of thousands of US casualties, and the loss of many hundreds of helicopters. The comparison is just a bit foggy yet to me, but am sure that after several years or decades it will become clearer.
