Hey, Larry! I wondered if you still had your SI "ears" on.

re: IPO

Well, heck. You touched on it in your question when you referred to "superstrings".

We were well down the R&D path towards creating our very own FBN-SuperString that we would provide to millions of people worldwide.

But, somebody beat us to the punch.

Apparently, they were poking fun at the concept, because they called it "Silly String" instead of "SuperString".

Well, we got the last laugh on them !!

The city of Los Angeles is contemplating banning it. So, all the billions of dollars spent developing and marketing it will be wasted. Ha! Serves them right for digging around in our bio-degradable trash cans to find out what the great minds at FBN-Research are working on!

Silly String: This is serious business

Monday, July 26, 2004

By Charles Doud-Editor & Publisher - The Madera Tribune
Thank goodness we have people of the caliber of Los Angeles City Council Member Tom LaBonge looking out for our interests.

He has alerted us to the dangers of Silly String, and is seeking to have it banned in Hollywood on Halloween.

He says he would have preferred to see it banned statewide, but that it seemed such a ban would take too long to enact. The Hollywood ban is something that could happen right away, relatively speaking.

(Apparently he is afraid of the lobbyists from the National Silly String Association, who would pour money into bribing state legislators to vote against the ban. Legislators would be convinced that Silly String is a not-so-silly matter.)

It seems that people roam the streets of Hollywood on Halloween, shooting each other with Silly String, which is a problem for the police, whose apparently timid horses are sometimes frightened by Silly String.

LaBonge claims the Silly String is not biodegradable, and could wind up in the storm drains where Heaven knows what harm it causes.

Such cities as Santa Monica and New Orleans already have banned Silly String. Of course, Santa Monica elected Tom Hayden to the Assembly and the State Senate, and New Orleans insists the Mardi Gras is a religious celebration.

Anyway, think of all the times you, personally, have experienced the heartbreak of being Silly Stringed, especially at Halloween, when it is important to appear as dignified as possible.

Then you will see the wisdom in LaBonge’s drive.

When Silly String is outlawed, however, only outlaws will have Silly String.
