TeleWRITER Software Development Ahead of Schedule; Sales Now Projected to Begin September 2004
Tuesday May 25, 4:00 pm ET
MAHWAH, N.J., May 25, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- Communications Research, Inc. (OTC BB:CRHI.OB - News) announced that internal system and quality control testing of TeleWRITER 3.0 has begun this week as the upgraded version of TeleWRITER was completed almost a month ahead of schedule. Communications Research has also identified five power users of the TeleWRITER product who have offered to Beta Test the software and are eager to purchase the upgraded product. The company has pushed up projected sales to begin in September 2004 as TeleWRITER re-launches into the estimated $3 billion collaborative computing market.
``The ongoing progression of the TeleWRITER software is an exciting event for the Company and sales in the final quarter of 2004 alone are expected to double the revenue of the company for the year,'' remarked Communications Research CEO Carl Ceragno. ``TeleWRITER is feature rich and affordably priced, enabling the Company to target both heavy commercial users who desperately need a collaborative solution and companies that can benefit from the technology but who would otherwise not purchase one of our competitors capital intensive, server based solutions.''
At its peak, TeleWRITER-AGS had approximately a 60% share of the collaborative computing market in the mid-1990's. CRHI acquired the technology 4 years ago, with the expectation of re-launching the product to old users and capturing the rapidly growing market. Early indications suggest that there is still considerable interest from prior users and new prospective users are enthusiastic about TeleWRITERS' features and price-point.
