With Four "Outstanding" and Six "Excellent" Ratings, Infonet Outperforms Other Major Global Providers on 32 Key Customer Attributes
LONDON & EL SEGUNDO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 22, 2003-- Infonet Services Corporation (NYSE:IN), a leading provider of global communications services for multinationals, today announced that it has earned its seventh consecutive "Best in Class" honor from Telemark Consulting, a leading market intelligence firm for the telecommunications industry, in the 14th edition of its international benchmarking report on Managed Data Network Services (MDNS). Infonet has earned this highest distinction in each of the past seven reports, and has now solely held Telemark's "Best in Class" title for almost two years.
The Telemark MDNS report researches service attributes that are identified as most important to multinational corporations, and then measures provider performance from a customer perspective. In this 14th edition of the report, 355 respondents from 29 countries were randomly selected to participate from among the world's top multinational corporations.
Overall, Infonet was found to be the most successful Managed Data Network Service Provider at meeting the needs of its clients, with four "Telemark Gold" (outstanding) ratings and six "Excellent" ratings placing it at the top of the industry in overall customer satisfaction. Additionally, Infonet exceeded Telemark's statistically valid benchmark standard in every one of the 32 attributes, "a unique achievement amongst the major operators," according to the report.
Specifically, Infonet achieved a market leading four "Telemark Gold" ratings in the categories of "Secure Data Transfer", "24 Hour Transparent Maintenance", "Network Availability" and "Bills in Currency of Choice". Infonet also achieved six "Excellent" ratings in the categories of "Network Reliability", "Technical Support", "General Helpdesk Provision", "International Performance", "Geographical End to End Reach" and "Installation Not Disrupting".
