Last week I told you that I received a call from Steve Harrison, CEO of BBF. He's seen my website (several times, according to WebTrends), he's apparently been forwarded some of the many letters that I've sent to his vendors, the BBB, the Orange County DA, the US Postal Inspector and several other officials. He said he would get my pager activated if that's what I wanted... as long as I would be a "cheerleader" for BFF.

Here's my thoughts on that: Should I be a cheerleader for an organization who FINALLY does something that they advertise as being their business, but only after 4 months, numerous calls, letters to anyone who would listen and building a consumer alert website that gets over 1000 hits a day?

I will use the pager if it is ever activated - I ordered it because I wanted it. I'll not write any more letters to governing bodies. I'll stop contacting his vendors. But a cheerleader?!? Probably not. Just because it takes 4 months and an act of congress to get him to do what he promised in the ad doesn't mean it was anything more than what I paid for.

That was Monday, January 13 - a week ago when I talked to Mr. Harrison. Still no response. I've left 2 messages at BBF, and one on Steve Harrison's personal cell phone voice mail. The message I left on Mr. Harrison's voicemail told him that all I need is a passcode. Until I get resolution in the form of the working pager I paid for, I'll be a cheerleader for all the people who have been screwed by Beep for Free."
