Thanks for the post.
i have not been in favor of the "war on drugs" or the continued erosion of our liberties over the years. i'm aware of the dangers of the 'Patriot Act'.
i've also been aware of the decline in our standard of living since the early seventies. the trouble is that our standard of living was so high that it could fall a good deal before we started to complain, or even notice it. i think what you say is true, that we are headed on a path of socialism.
however, yesterday and today i've never been as proud of this country as i am now. the source of my pride is our military. my pride is not in their skill, weaponry or lethality, but instead in their humanity. they have taken great care not to kill civilians, even at cost to themselves. they are genuinely trying to do good in Iraq. the good feeling that i have for the military, directly transfers to my country as a whole. on top of all that, somehow the CIA and FBI has been able to stop further terrorist attacks here at home (something i thought was highly improbable).
in short, i'll say nothing to criticize my country these days.
Eric, i know that you're a man of many interests. i'm wondering if you have an interest in nutrition and supplements?
if you do, here's a new forum and i'd like to hear your thoughts:
