Something else to remember: Iraq pop. about 70 million. US and allied forces...boots on the ground...now about 100,000...in sea and air and on the ground...about 250,000.... In a country about as big as California. Trying to get equipment and supplies through the sand and whatever roads there are? To say nothing of civilians, and minefields, and whatever else in the way... Can any of us really imagine dealing with those odds?
