Meehan was a good, honest guy in a profession where there are far too few people who are either good or honest. He genuinely tried to do the right thing, and people who read his advice and acted on it would have avoided the worst of the bubble implosion. It's a terrible loss to investors who cared about the truth.
I hope he's in a better place, and my prayers are with him and his family.
