Ed Sullivan for entertainment, Gunsmoke for drama. I barely remember the show that was more of a play than anything else. (might have been the Texaco Hour?) Different plot each week but riveting in it's art. The way the sets were displayed with the barest of props and the way the shadows played with the lights. I thought that I would be one of the actors when I grew up. I held them in great esteem. The twilight zone and it's simplicity was all I needed to take me to other worlds. And the Sci Fi that followed. Outer limits, the really dumb Lost in Space. I have been a Sci Fi fan ever since. Kind of all evolved into 2001 A Space Odyssey, and Hal is among us. M
