(www.thestandard.com/news/net21/home/) focuses on the TOP 21 people in the
new internet economy, and surprise, surprise, Flip didn't make the list!
Maybe he's not as important as he thinks he is. Chicago is a great tech
town, but there is more to it than dot coms and B2B websites. Anytime the
focus of your business plan is the exit strategy (as most of Divine's
companies freely admit) you have to wonder if there is any interest in
improving the tech community or if it is all just a get rich quick scheme.
He put 6,000 Platinum employees out of work to make a buck, he won't
hesitate to do the same at Divine.
