OTG Software's DiskXtender Certified on HP's New SureStore MO Jukebox Family
OTG and Hewlett Packard Integrate SAN solutions
BETHESDA, Md., April 10 /PRNewswire/ -- OTG Software (Nasdaq: OTGS - news), a leading provider of interactive data storage management and data access solutions, today announced at the AIIM 2000 Conference that its DiskXtender storage software is now certified with Hewlett-Packard's new SureStore family of magneto-optical (MO) jukeboxes. OTG will demonstrate DiskXtender in a point-to-point SAN configuration that takes advantage of high-speed Fibre Channel connectivity which is part of HP's first offering of broader MO Fibre Channel SANs. This demonstation highlights OTG's continuing support for SAN solutions and OTG's role as a key HP independent software provider (ISV).

OTG's DiskXtender enables online management of data throughout an enterprise's network, while tracking and managing stored file locations. It enhances a data storage system by increasing its primary storage capacity and providing fast and easy access to data, while integrating stored files with enterprise applications. With backup applications, DiskXtender can intelligently manage the backup data, backing up only recently changed data, thus reducing the amount of data and time required to back up. Through DiskXtender's open architecture, end users and OEMs can integrate DiskXtender with Web and LAN applications.
OTG recently announced DiskXtender 2000, designed to take full advantage of the Windows 2000 enterprise level operating system, and will be demonstrating DX 2000 in OTG's booth at AIIM (No. 3337).
HP's SureStore magneto-optical jukeboxes provide long-term storage for high-volume reference data and, with up to 1.2 TB of storage capacity, can support warehouses of stored data. The product family supports write-once/read-many (WORM) and rewritable media format.
