VODAFONE to buy SONERA shares? <<The Sonera share was strengthened Thursday afternoon at Helsinki SE (HEX), after market rumors that English-American mobil phone giant Vodafone Airtouch wants to buy the appr. 57% of the shares owned by the Finnish state, wholly or partially. "The share value increased, after a rumor that The Finnish State is to sell 20% of Sonera to Vodafone", says a broker to KUPPALEHTI-Online, when the news agency asked about the cause for the increase. An other broker, as well, thought that the sudden rise was caused by the Vodafone-rumor. ... At 5.10 pm SNRA share was up 6,9% at HEX. ...
