ROCKVILLE, Md., Jan. 17 /PRNewswire/ -- Manugistics Group, Inc. (Nasdaq: MANU), today,
announced that Heilig-Meyers Company (NYSE: HMY), the nation's largest home furnishings
retailer, has selected Manugistics NetWORKS(TM) solutions to improve the flow of product,
and enhance communications with its largest suppliers.
Today's announcement follows comments made by Donald S. Shaffer, Heilig- Meyers'
president and chief operating officer, during the company's third quarter earning
announcement in December when he stated that: Manugistics represents a "key milestone" in
Heilig-Meyers' merchandising reengineering process.
Heilig-Meyers, which operates more than 900 stores in the United States and Puerto
Rico, will utilize the intelligence delivered by Manugistics NetWORKS solutions to drive
improved forecasting and replenishment of inventories. These solutions will aid in the
flow and delivery of furniture, bedding, consumer electronics, and appliances.
"Heilig-Meyers is focused on improving its core business. The selection of

Toronto-based NuThink, Inc. (www.nuthinkinc.com), a supply chain innovation firm,
worked with Heilig-Meyers to re-design their supply chain process. The newly designed
process will integrate the supply chain from consumers through to raw material suppliers,
