Stratcomm Media Announces New Publishing Contract with Aloes International
WINTER PARK, Fla., Jan. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- Stratcomm Media, Ltd. (OTC Bulletin Board: SMMM - news) today announced its Gulf Atlantic Publishing unit has signed a contract with Aloes International, Inc. to conduct Aloes' advertising and marketing campaigns for the next year.

The Winter Park, Fla.-based financial publisher and full-service marketing firm will create, produce and distribute promotional pieces for Aloes International, an Orlando, Fla. company which markets aloe vera and other alternative health products under the name Catherine's Choice. Stratcomm, which posted sales of $11.8 million last year, said the 12-month contract could be worth up to $1.5 million. Gulf Atlantic will be responsible for:

Writing, editing, designing, printing and disseminating up to 240,000 issues of ``Catherine's Journal,' a 32-page bimonthly magazine that features editorial content as well as product information.
Developing and implementing a six-month direct mail campaign to expand Aloes International's base of 400,000 mail-order and online customers.
Editing and printing 100,000-plus issues of a monthly 16-page control/acquisition piece designed to expand Aloes' consumer base.
Update and maintain control of the Company's e-mail list.
``We are pleased to have added Aloes International to Gulf Atlantic's growing list of marketing clients,' said Roberto Veitia, president of Stratcomm Media. ``The scope of this project allows us to showcase the broad range of services offered by Gulf Atlantic -- everything from project direction to creating content to final production.'

``We want to continue to develop this full-service approach to better meet the needs of clients such as Aloes International.'

Aloes International got its start 20 years ago after company co-founder Catherine Bridges began taking aloe vera to alleviate chronic kidney problems. Bridges, along with her husband, Warren, developed a process to produce whole- leaf aloe vera capsules, which they have sold throughout the world. Today, in addition to their trademark aloe vera products, the Bridges offer a range of herbs, supplements and vitamins to their customers through ``Catherine's Journal' and through their Website, www.aloes.com .

``Aloe vera is very effective in providing relief for problems associated with arthritis, the urinary tract, kidneys and digestion,' said Warren Bridges, president and chief executive officer of Aloes International.

``We look forward to partnering with Gulf Atlantic to spread the word about our company and the healing properties of this powerful plant.'

Don Philpott, an award-winning journalist who now serves as president of Gulf Atlantic, said his editorial team has already begun developing strategic marketing materials for Aloes International. The one-year contract runs through the end of November 2000.

``We enjoy tackling projects of this magnitude and are pleased to call on the talents of our writers, editors and designers to help craft the story of Aloes International,' Philpott said.
