American Multiplexer Corporation `AMC' Announces a Service and Co-location Agreement with Level 3 Communications
SUNNYVALE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 22, 1999--American Multiplexer Corporation (NASDAQ - OTC BB:AMUT) announced today that it has signed an agreement with Level 3 Communications (Nasdaq:LVLT - news) to purchase bandwidth and co-locate its Network Operating Center (NOC) at the Level 3 facility in Sunnyvale, California. AMC is deploying its Network for delivering voice, video and data services direct to the PC or TV.

Level 3 is building the first international network optimized for Internet Protocol technology. The Level 3 network combines local, long distance and undersea networks, connecting customers end-to-end across the U.S. and in Europe and Asia. According to Edward Tan, president of AMC, ``The Level 3 Agreement means that AMC is not limited by the size of the pipe to the backbone, and we can meet the unprecedented growth in demand for broadband services.'
