If you think that the internal combustion engine may be in for a shake up one of these days, you may just want to invest in batteries -- batteries that are powerful and can be recharged thousands of times. A123 produces such batteries. They have been successfully used in power tools for several years and are now scaling up for use in electric vehicles [EVs].
With the computer and affiliated internet industries beginning to show signs of maturity, capital always tends to flow toward innovation and new markets, and A123 may just be the hottest IPO of the second half of the first decade of the 21st century. |
