Cut and Paste by me from another thread:
Undervalued Oil/Gas stock? FPPC
I came upon this one quite by accident about a week ago searching ticker symbols for company names containing the words "energy" or "petroleum". Prior to last week the stock was very thinly traded, still is by most comparisons.
Very small float (<4 million, probably now less than 3 million) has experienced record trading volume this past week. 48% "insider" owned with no past history of the sole major stockholder selling any shares at any price. The company has a number of joint ventures with larger well known oil/gas companies
My own theory is the CEO/President is subsidizing the company out of his own pocket as my digging turned up several property and oil rights purchases that were funded from "undisclosed sources". there is no question whatsoever in my mind that this company is the exception to the rule in bulletin board stocks...it's simply a very small company. They have never diluted the stock that I can see, which would be a typical "red flag" on BB stocks.
One of the stated objectives is to become an AMEX listed stock. Over the past years the company has paid for promotion on several smallcap stock boards with no apparent resulting increase in volume.
So why all of a sudden has it traded at the highest volume *ever*? I think it is simply because everyone recognizes that oil prices have nowhere to go but UP, which makes it easier for small companies like this one which sell on the spot market to realize a profit.
My next stop is to create a folder for discussion of this company. I'll post links there to the information that I have found so far.
All of the above is my *opinion*, as with any company, your decision to invest should be based on your own independent research!!!
