The Company employs technology that includes side scan sonar, remotely operated vehicles and other advanced technologies that enable Odyssey to locate and recover shipwrecks at depths that were previously unreachable in an economically feasible manner. The Company has three wholly owned and operating subsidiaries: Odyssey Marine, Inc., formed for the purpose of administering its Florida-based payroll and insurance plan; Odyssey Marine, Inc., established to hold and lease the Company's marine assets, chartering and leasing vessels and employing marine crew and technical personnel, and OVH, Inc., which was created for the owning and chartering of a research vessel. Odyssey has four active projects: the recovery of a vessel believed to be HMS Sussex and the continued search for three shipwrecks that it has codenamed Bavaria, Republic and Concepcion.
