After having read through oodles of press releases and other company communications I thought it would be fun to have a place to take an irreverent look at some of the more humorous, repetitious, and/or bald-faced spins as companies vie for the (now abundant) speculative dollar.
Points will be awarded for the generous use of "good words" or buzzwords that are currently popular (e.g. internet, broadband, optical, b2b, wireless, etc.) Combining "great ideas" and/or "enabling technologies" into a paradigm shift is especially valuable.
Judging will be done by popular vote or something(?). The awarding of "points" shall be made whenever the mood strikes us.
This should be just a tongue-in-cheek look at spin-meistering with no attempt to be made at impugning a specific company so there will be no indignation allowed <gg>. |
