"Extended Systems makes network server computers and wireless infrared connections for computers and printers. The company's servers are specialized for company networking (ExtendNet VPN); secure, managed Internet access(ExtendNet IAS); and access to high-performance databases via the Internet (Advantage Internet Servers). The company's infrared products (including JetEye Net and IrDA software) allow mobile computer users to make wireless connections to Ethernet networks, printers, or desktop PCs. Extended Systems sells its products to distributors as well as printer and notebook OEMs."

Scheduled for IPO the week of 2/2/98.
