Someone posted a grotesque color photograph of a mutilated human body under SI's Iomega chart early this morning. Associated with the photograph was a targeted message to a particular individual in reference to cutting off male genitals. Was this a hacker/prankster, or was it something more serious?

Personally, I don't like it when I'm looking up an Iomega chart, and accidently find a photograph of a mutilated body with associated targeted threats. Others at the SI web site sometime find objectionable posts in various other forms.

It seems to me that Iomega threads are particularly suceptible these types of posts for some reason or another. Why? I don't know. It's just an observation on my part.

So I'm starting this thread to discuss how to best deal with kooks, perverts, hackers, criminals and any other category of troublemakers who all-too-frequently disrupt this web site with unknown motives.

I have no particular expertise on this subject. I'm simply creating a forum to deal with a problem that is real--not only for me and other traders and investors, but presumably for the folks at SI as well!

Suggestions and ideas on how to best address this issue are encouraged.
