Your experiences are exactly why I went with genuine Apple iron instead of a Hack. I enjoy it. Anything that flexes my brain in the computer area, I welcome! Since I punched my first cards by hand, in High School. :-)
Meanwhile I'll be sipping my Coke and enjoying my smooth running iMac. :-) To each their own. For a fraction of the price, I have a dual booter. (The Lion reinstall finished and all is well again, at the 10.7.0 level).
These minor problems are nothing, compared to the muscle this Hack has. I'll gladly dick with it, instead of buying an off the shelf iMac for much more, which cannot do what this toy does, no matter how much one stuffs it with the best Apple has to offer, hardware wise.
Anyway, I'm having fun with the hack and it makes me happy. Same with your iMac. Can't ax for more. :-)
