Kendrick said about the game "Yup, it the a of two aces going at each other" and gave a LOL! He says , he always go out hoping to just give the team a chance. Regards the Halladay game, i think one factor is you never ever want to have McCann at bat with the bases loaded--It's that Halladay got McCann at bat with basesloaded--tha's the rub, as last thing Roy wanted was that--McCann one of best of getting the big hit that breaks a game. It was, i gather stinky and humid that night in Atlanta---it seems everytime he falls apart there is heat and humidity involved. i think someone need make sure Halladay is keeping hydrated---his feinting spell last year should have beeen a major warning, he can't handle heat--- Dubee has now identified two pitchers i think loses speed and sharpness when dehydrated--Halladay and Bastardo. i am NOT worried but his arm, but i am worried he doesn't know how to keep hydrated--- in heat humidity situations he needs Gatorade by his side. i worked 3 summers in the HOTTEST part of a Steel Mill---the key is to be preventative, i know---for if you get to the weakening point, it is too late to hydrate and keep working--you have got to ahead of the game--i took salt tablets and water bigtime from start to finish--man you sweat so hard, you can need a constant inflow. Halladay need have the body cells saturated BEFORE he pitches. Again we have a guy, like Utley, that is so focused on will power and think getting really conscious of his electrolytes and water is SISSY stuff. Dubee said Halladay was showing the signs of heat/arm fatigue combo---Dubee best be not nice about it, and makes sure Halladay is taking preventive action in hot weather. i know too many people that are "ah i don't need that stuff" not knowing cellular fluid pressure is the key to a tired or strong arm.Max p.s. he has blown 4 run leads 9 times in his career, i think-- so i would love to see what HeatIndex was in all those games. |
