h-man was wondering if you were still running into opposition from the gov't wrt your efforts in the hill country in vietnam. not much has changed, zita....the only reason we encounter less intrusion is because we are building fewer new projects, concentrating on maintenance. We have one village where we would like to raise the tower 5 meters to allow us to run water to more homes, but the government said no....then decided to build their own well (very shallow, poor water quality)...and charge the villagers (a lot) for the water. No one will drink it, but the government says that's all they get. Some of the villagers have piped the bad water to their houses to flush their toilets. At Long Cat School we've wanted to build a new well for years, the local government says that we have to build it at the Party Offices, then the school can come there to get water and truck it back to the school... such is the logic..
