I was once engaged to a French Canadian girl, I have seen their healthcare up close and personal. Her Dad was VERY ILL with a BAD HEART and ended up having to go to Rochester for treatment as the waiting line was SO LONG. jdn

Essex County, Ont. says it is going broke paying workman comp claims. Even when the employee is well enough to return to work he is unable to do so without a doctors clearance. The waiting time for a doctor's appt. is 6 mos and if a specialist is necessary it could take up to a year, requiring the county to continue paying the comp for a non-working employee.
