Mike: This is my own personal thought and not an addition to the thread header or anything like that. When someone asks me to pray, I do agree with you, it may or may not be in the Lord's will; so I just take the 'shotgun approach and pray for everyone who asks me.
But true to form and in agreement with the exact words you spoke, God corrected me and asked me to pray 'about' those who ask me and not 'for' those who ask. So I think you are right. Just pray about who and when and where you should pray about others. First. Good advice ! Thanks for stopping by, you are welcome all the time. Love and peace brother. In Christ. Gregor

this is the way to go, Mike -->

>> Before he left, I grabbed his hand and prayed for him right then and there. <<

I was in "someone else's" store a few weeks ago and talking to the owner and another fellow -- both Christians and just in the normal flow of conversation mentioned a concern that I had asked that they would remember it --- a few minutes later, I was still there and they both approached me and said lets pray ... and we did.

God's people need to be "instant" in prayer. Take it to the Lord first!!
