Hi, Surf - "I think we can put it to rest now."
Agreed. But the reason for bringing the matter up, recently, was exactly the matter you describe: the so-called "loss" of the company's credibility, trumpeted by so-called "analysts" and the media.
They never spent one minute of time to delve deeper into the matter, they never inquired, they never dug, they never thought.
They simply and inexcusably dumped all over the company for its supposed 'credibilty' problem.
And the company, locked in delicate discussions with the FCC, trying to reverse the decision, would have no wish to prejudice these discussions by polarizing the thinking of that powerful agency.
Your points are well taken, and I am not disputing them. But the reason that I brought the matter forward again is because I had not seen anywhere, in any medium, an attempt to resolve this matter, and to readjust the distorted and perverse view of Wi-LAN management that had been so quickly and easily disseminated.
IMO, these people failed in their responsibility to the public: worse, they did a disservice to many.
That said, I echo your sentiments. Well done, Wi-LAN!
Best regards,
Jim |
