Okay, if the landed cost is [for now] $480, then obviously those shouldn't be sold for $500. $1000 would be more like it. But the cost of producing such devices en masse is more like $200 and that's for the swishiest Cyberphone DeVices. Qualcomm isn't going to be the handset maker when the new chips and phones are produced. Qualcomm isn't making the new asics.

My prices were estimates for how things would be. To show how pricing should be done.

Maybe the ARPU plans could include the phone at $500 or even free for a two year contract at $100 per month. Pricing and plans don't have to be one size fits all.
