This idea that you get elected by telling the voters what they want to hear is history. Everything that comes out of their mouths is recorded. Everyone can pull it back any time they want. And thousands of people are constantly watching what they do and comparing it to what they said.

And every lie can and will be used against you in the court of public opinion. Romney ought to know that better than anyone.

yeah, yada yada yada.....

i can't remember a single period in my lifetime when 'foreign policy' wasn't being touted as the end of the world as we know it if we didn't forever 'keep in front of' the actions of foreign countries....how long did we do all that, then

9/11

my point is the doctrine of pre-emptive action is a failure....it's like 'whack a mole' and they keep popping up somewhere else....we need to quit spending and sending our young people and U$D to worthless countries like afghanistan, using the al sharpton and jesse jackson 'shake down' approach to the u.s. taxpayer...we'll never get these people to embrace western values, meanwhile we are destroying OUR values (liberty) because we are 'afraid' of 'them'

enough already, take care of business at home....

>>> Israel striking Iranian nuclear facilities would mean $200+ oil and global recession. <<<

Good points... But if Iran goes nuclear and eventually there is nuclear blowout in the ME, then a $200 oil may become a distant memory of a golden age. Can't feed 7 billion people with half the world's oil out of commission.
