I hunted with a 50 caliber Hawken when I was in high school. Great Gun. Built it myself.

Sounds like fun, and a challenge. The last thing I need right now though is to come up with a totally new line of toys to spend money on! LOL

Were I going for the mile long shot .. I think I'd just go to the .50 caliber Barret!

I've done a bit of muzzleloader hunting. That's about all of my experience with muskets.


Never done the Black Powder Cartridge thing at all.
