Two things happening, recently, that might be relevant in relation to the timing, here... One is the Congress passing the JOBS act, recently... with some aspects of that law clearly slapping the SEC in the face... given error in their focus... The other is the recently announced establishment of a higher level of cooperation between the SEC and Canadian authorities... which might eventually tend to limit future efforts in exploiting rules and the regulators as part of structuring trades ? There are a lot of moving parts in the markets, right how... with a lot of "problems" being addressed... I'll tend to remain skeptical about them... given that every "fix" of problems being exploited, will tend to come packaged with two new ones tucked away in the language implementing a "fix"... with the difference between "fixing it" and "the fix is in" being relevant...
