Makes you wonder though, if they do come out with an iTV, will that be the beginning of the end of the console market?

Playing games is about fashion. Consoles are headed towards unfashionable, as the article noted. I don't expect you to spot any trends ahead of time, or indeed to realize you are in the midst of one, or even to see it in retrospect when it has long passed you by. I was reminded of this the other day when I talked with a Prof at a local university. A student came in while I was visiting, and I mentioned something that they should consider. The student made a short note of it on his smartphone, while the Prof wrote it down in ye olde style lab notebook. The world changes over time...
