Being a contrarian during the strong seasonal period for stocks that have already discounted perhaps the worst case scenario looking out 12+ months is always an interesting bet.. I am curious how Lucent was firing on all cylinders with the stock at multiyear highs around the same time Cisco had a string of bad quarters and it's stock down to $13 not too long ago? Now Cisco up 50% and Lucent has shed two thirds of it's value.. Have the major issues of unfunded liabilities and lack of free cash flow really changed that much so fast?
