hi kirk & all, link below is a chart of IBOND vs s&P over the long term may come to some as a surprise. i need ur opinion on long term avrg cpi vs cd rate. currently i m thinking of cpi of 2.5 vs cd rate of 5. if i want to calulate value at some future date say may 2019 ? i added to ibond from y2k to y2k3. for the first time cpi has come in negative giving me zero returns for the next 6 months.
