OK, I understand. That's a bit disappointing but not particularly surprising. It would be sweet if the engine could do both but there is the weight issue.

If I were involved in the development of the Volt, I would be concerned that what is said on the GM websites is different from what I was saying.

Here is what the Chevrolet web site says:

Here is what you say:

How do you explain the difference?
