Hi Walter
Probably the fleets that they will be announcing soon had a lot to do with yesterdays price.
First sellers looked at the numbers and wanted out and anybody who spent a little time saw the fleet make up of 200 ships.
100+ from Japanese container fleet and Holland engineering and dredging company, I am going to guess that it is Van Oord. They have roughly 75 work boats that I could find.
This is like getting another Coast Guard contact.
Pat mentioned airtime margins and how they can grow. Airtime was now at 28% from 4% year ago.
I think we can figure on 300 units a quarter, with 40% V3's - 60% V7's
Looking at Boatracs, they have a pretty good sized customer base between west, east and gulf coasts.
Could be several V3"s there.
Should be looking at 3200 to 3500 total units shipped by the end of this year.
Now we just need those TacNav/Fogs to get going.
Small float here could have a $2 to $3 upside with just a nice sized announcement.
For a quarterly loss, pretty good day and cc. Inmarsat is not going away, but they sure are going to give KVH a boost.
Have a good day
