KVHI Interview is interesting, IMO KVHI will be the one consolidated by a BIG player. It makes so much sense for a company like TRW to take it over. Besides an Automotive business, they have a high profile Sattelite business and a Military business which is fully complimented by all aspects of KVHI's own systems.
To be quite honest while doing research on who might take out KVHI, I've fallen in love with TRW, and I believe that they have the synergies to make the vehicle internet market come together quicker than most.
It seems unlikely to me that our small cap angel, will have the staying power of an independent company once the metrics of two way internet are rationalized inside many different board rooms. Mobile Internet will definately emerge and a company with Sattelite and ties to content or automotive will recognize the captive market of the traveller. Right now you here nothing about the Mobile Market in vehicles, it's all about PDA's and cellular applications. Entertainment content to passengers is hardly ever mentioned outside the rv market. The reasons for that are clear now, but will change rapidly.
LOR, Comsat, are among the other names I looked at. |
