KVH Introduces Newest TracVision Satellite TV Antennas for RVs and Motorcoaches

New Systems Offer Compatibility With DIRECTV, DISH Network, and Expressvu as

Well as Enhanced Design for Easier Installation

MIDDLETOWN, R.I., Dec. 3 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- KVH Industries (Nasdaq: KVHI) introduced the newest members of its award- winning TracVision product line -- the in-motion TracVision L2 and the stationary automatic TracVision S2 -- today at the Recreational Vehicle Industry Association (RVIA) National RV Trade Show in Louisville, Kentucky. These new systems expand on the capabilities of KVH's popular TracVision LM and SA systems, offering an enhanced design for easy installation as well as access to not only DIRECTV(R) services but also complete compatibility with DISH Network(TM), ExpressVu, and multi-satellite services like DISH 500.

"Since the introduction of the TracVision LM in 1998, KVH's TracVision systems have become the world's most popular in-motion satellite TV antenna for RVs and motorcoaches as a result of their reliability, versatility, and outstanding value," noted Ian Palmer, KVH's vice president of satellite sales. "The new TracVision L2 and S2 systems continue that tradition, offering affordable in-motion and stationary reception of satellite TV entertainment throughout the continental United States and Canada. This includes access to DISH Network, ExpressVu, and multi-satellite programming that was previously only available to Digital Video Broadcast (DVB)-equipped antennas, such as our premier TracVision L3 and TracVision S3 systems."

TracVision L2 and S2 are vehicle-mounted, low-profile antennas that deliver satellite television and audio from DIRECTV, DISH Network, and ExpressVu. These satellite services provide hundreds of stations of high- quality digital programming, including news, sports, weather, and movies, throughout the continental United States and Canada. In addition, there are dozens of channels of commercial-free, CD-quality music catering to almost every taste. TracVision L2 offers full in-motion satellite tracking while TracVision S2 will automatically find and lock onto the selected satellite when the vehicle is parked.

The most significant enhancements in the TracVision L2 and S2 are the antennas' ability to switch from satellite to satellite as necessary as well as receive signals from both DIRECTV and DVB-compatible satellites. Thanks to their satellite switching ability, the TracVision L2 and S2 are capable of supporting multi-satellite programming, such as the popular DISH 500 service, unlike competing antennas, which can only track a single satellite and require a data connection to the satellite TV receiver. Users simply push a button to shift the antenna among the available satellites, providing a level of control and versatility previously unavailable among baseline satellite TV antennas. In addition to the system capabilities, TracVision L2 and S2 are equipped with new, more convenient rooftop mounting hardware and fully connectorized cables for easier, faster installation.

"The introduction of the TracVision L2 and S2 reaffirm our commitment to offering a complete line of satellite TV systems to meet our customers' wide array of system and budgetary requirements," continued Palmer. "TracVision L2 and S2 offer outstanding value as well as the versatility to receive any satellite TV programming available in the continental United States and Canada. We also offer our premier in-motion TracVision L3 and stationary TracVision S3 for customers who require enhanced capabilities, such as DVB satellite acquisition and compatibility with mobile high-speed Internet access. Every TracVision system is built to the most demanding standards and is covered by KVH's unmatched warranty and North American network of more that 3,500 supporting dealers."

Also, I posted this earlier on Yahoo! NIMIQ2 satellite (used by Bell ExpressVu) is shipped out for a late December launch. This will double ExpressVu's capacity. KVH of course, buys and sells Internet access time from ExpressVu.

Lockheed Martin wins $153 mln AEGIS contract

Monday December 2, 5:22 pm ET

WASHINGTON, Dec 2 (Reuters) - The U.S. Navy on Monday said it awarded Lockheed Martin Corp. (NYSE:LMT - News) a $153 million contract modification for 1.6 million hours of engineering and technical services to upgrade the Aegis missile detection system.

Work under the contract is due to be completed by September 2004.>>

biz.yahoo.com

KVH has been supplying FOGs for the AEGIS gun and missile directors, since back in 2000.

Message 13460763

Since then they have announced more accurate DSP-FOGs. I don't know whether the increased accuracy is required for AEGIS needs, but if it is, this is an opportunity to get the new FOGs designed in.

Lockheed-Martin is a KVH customer, and KVH is also supplying FOGs to them for their new train system.

HI Sector,

9.01 - new closing high (52 week) on light volume.

My original mentor - Ted Warren taught me that a stock at a new high on light volume is the strongest of all price action.

This is the price action of a stock with no sellers - just buyers.

This is extremely encouraging. All holders of this jewel are happy and nibbling at a rising price - strong support and CONTINUED ACCUMULATION.

If we can go up by eights and quarters to 10.44 and have a light volume handle of 7-10 percent, just as we launch the antennae and begin sequentially improving profitable quarters - HOLD ONTO YOUR HAT !!!

This is ecellent price action - really couldn't ask for better - IT IS JUST PERFECT !!

Bob

Hi Sector,

For those who haven't been to KVHI's Newport Headquarters - there is a very large and impressive Lockheed Martin Office building just accros the street from KVHI.

The picture of KVHI'S building (with the stainless steel wind mobile on the front yard )would be just about taken from Lockheeds front yard.

The Absence of sellers is what held the line through all of 02. Just look at the daily details, the shareholders here are well informed and unswayed by hype or spam. We've had many come through the Yahoo board and they just dont last long. The team that supports the research here is far better than the reports produced by trade shills.

We are at the beggining of revolutions not in the middle or near the end. The Absence of sellers tells the biggest story of them all. Compare it to the distributions going on all around us. This is one that you Buy and Hold and to us long termers, those are not bad words.

All sell targets should be set Post Split, because 03 will deliver!

Sector; thanks I've been waiting for this particular press release or one that talked about how the System would go from where it was to where it's going to be for a long time. This is good for the entire country, and we should be proud to be a part of it.

Seems like after 4 out of 4 hits in testing, moved the whole project to the top of the cue.

I agree. BTW, in Tom Clancy's next to last book, an AEGIS cruiser with souped up software shoots down an ICBM targeted on Washington, from Chesapeake Bay. AEGIS upgrade is needed.
