I've updated the consolidated links, but not in the header. There are only three new links, but now enough personnel related ones to create a new section. I'll post it next. When we get a few more, I'll ask to have the header updated again. I've pretty much given up trying to align the links as SI apparently uses a different font for the header than for other posts.

Hi Sector - A fine header indeed.

If that isn't enough assistance in Due Diligence - I don't know what is.

Come to think of it it may scare most off as it is overwhelming to a beginner.

We take for granted the excellent learning curve we ahve all been on for quite a while now.

Thanmks.

Bob

Thanks Robert,

The KVHI threads are a relative paradise for a beginner. On other threads there are so many wolves with alternate agendas, willing to mislead, mis-inform, mis-represent and use other forms of manipulation for their own gain.

Here we present the DD in an organized fashion, have intelligent discussions, answer questions and let new people make their own buy-sell decisions based on their own research.

Government must unleash faster Net connections, Cerf says

<<One of the pioneers of the Internet said Monday that government must get involved for speedier connections to the Net to reach the masses.

Vint Cerf said broadband is being stymied by current and proposed policies that allow telephone and cable companies to close their networks and by the issue of protecting copyrighted information online.>>

A real WISP of a "grass roots" movement is happening all across rural America

<<Somewhere in rural America a household is clamoring for a broadband connection.

Somewhere else a wireless Internet service provider (WISP) is holding a backyard barbecue, signing up scores of new subscribers who will chunk down up to $400 to activate their high-speed accounts.

What are the chances their paths intersect, and the household is liberated from the indignity of dial-up? >>

<<Nonetheless, this is not a pursuit for the weak-hearted. Even in the most ideal conditions where WISPs have managed to squeeze out a profit, there is always the fear that an incumbent telco will find ways to justify infrastructure upgrades and begin offering DSL.>>

Sector any chance you can bring us up to speed on the progress of the fiber product and new antenna planned for fall release? Is the antenna Sat Radio or broadband COMPATIBLE or both?

Sector,

I completely agree that the market is large, and KVHI is small so being able to address even a portion of the market is an amazing opportunity for KVHI. That's why I'm long.

I just wanted to point out why the gryos and IMUs product are well suited for one part of the market and not another. And it is because their product is open loop which means it's best for short range systems. As ranges increase the angular drifts would either need to be crosschecked and corrected through logic at a higher system level or the gyros/IMUs will give unacceptable error bars when trying to hit a target.

For short range systems the volumes will be greater and hence the price pressure will probably be greater, so I think KVHI is hitting the right part of the market.

Mike
