Marc,

Sounds like 2000 will be an exciting year. I can't wait till others see AKLM they way we do.

I'm back. AKLM and ERTS both are victim of Pokemon success but AKLM is over-corrected, a combination of tax-loss selling, debt conversion concern and Pipar's comment. It WILL recover nicely and enjoy the January effect.

I can't follow your reasoning. Pokemon and GB is aimed at a very focused market - (kids in their parents' cars or for use at their school breaks). I thought Piper Jaffray cited 'sluggish sales of N64' as the chief factor.

The firestorm hit hard and the index I am maintaining (of 20 video game stocks) had their worst day since I started it in December 1997.

The effect was magnified, IMHO, because of the conventional wisdom of selling video game stocks just before Christmas and perhaps that the leader had got ahead of itself at the same time.

The reasoning is simple. If Mom and Dads bought the cute Pokemon for their kids as Christmas gifts. Do they needed to buy NHL Breakaway, ASB2k, Turok for N64...? Acclaim, EA (maybe Midway too) had the strongest lineup of sports title. In addition, Acclaim is the well known Nintendo partner. Now Pokemon is dominating the top five N64 chart for most of 1999, where are the losing sales? In addition the uncertainty of note conversion, ECW/WWF and inefficient management. AKLM has reason to trade at a discount.

Good things for AKLM are:
1) It is cheap, very very cheap cheap cheap, super cheap.
2) It has good DC lineup.
3) Industry best studio.
4) ECW (gamers like ECW more than WCW, in addition ECW fans had long missed a good wrestling title).
5) South Park

Andy,

Too bad we all can't just live in harmony. I have AKLM and KIDE. Both taking a beating. Can anybody win?

(AKLM) was recommended in the Dec. 99 issue of The CHEAP Investor at $6.94. The Stock price shot UP to $7.50 then got hammered down. I took my first position in (AKLM) today at $4.88 because I have had great success with The CHEAP Investor's recommendations. Sometimes a CHEAP Investor recommendation will get hammered like AKLM did but a great
majority do extremely well. With patience even those that drift down like AKLM will come blazing back and go on to become a HUGE winner for The CHEAP Investor.

I have been so successful with The CHEAP Investor's recommendations over past years that I created a personal Home Page and placed The CHEAP Investor's Track Record on there just so folks can view it. Along with this track record, I have detailed the STRATEGY that has been directly responsible for my taking a small amount of cash and growing that into a figure I would have only dreamed of.
