<<< YHOO,<<<

How is your short position doing?

Is it true that the major reason you are down on THQI is your fear of environmental damage? Maybe Farrell will see your point and file an environmental impact statement prior to breaking $50. Would that satisfy you?

Jim, Since no one answered your question about shorts, I will try. THQI usually trades around 300,000 shares a day. When the shorts were around 3M it would take about 20 days for all of them to get out. Now it would be 16 days. It actually is not the smartest move in the world to have this small of a share trade and this large of a short, if you are a shorter.
THQI is a third and fourth quarter stock. Most people who follow stocks know that most or all retailers do better in the pre and Christmas seasons. It will ramp back up for earnings news after scared hands are removed from their shares and then will slowly decline until July IMHO! It is actually better to short this stock from Feb. to July if that is what your into.

Regards,
Roy

<<THQI is a third and fourth quarter stock. >>

Yet it essentially hits a new high every quarter. Even last year with the loss of WCW and then the "staggeringly" high WCW pct. in Q1, it still hit a new high the day after Q1 earnings, before tanking. (I believe it was Wisdom Tree selling that knocked us for a loop, actually.) You'll also see a nice new high in July. At worst I expect this pattern to continue and we'll see $33 by Feb. 24-26.

Btw, I do find it odd that JAKK has been surging like this considering it is their slow season and there's still a year to go before they see any videogame revs.

I can't wait to get a release date for the Rugrats movie video.

Marc,
I am usually just a lurker but I have been wondering the same thing about JAKK. I have been an investor in THQI for about a year and a half now and in JAKK for about a year.
For the most part THQI has been the one that I have been doing well on and JAKK has been slow... until the last couple of weeks or so. Now there seems to be a reverse happening.
I haven't noticed any news on JAKK but the price keeps going up. Believe me I'm not complaining, just curious.
As for THQI, we've been through this before and I'm not worried about the price dip. It will come back IMO.
Back to lurking.

If I'm not mistaken, Quest II and NomenQuest are different games. NomenQuest is supposed to be developed by H2O, not Imagineer. And THQ said that it was going to do Quest II, so why should there be an issue for domestic publishing rights? And THQ has been expected to publish Europress' International Rally Championship for quite some time now. So why does FGN have news that seems to be 6-12 months old?

To anyone who can clarify these statements, I thank them in advance.

Todd

If you ask me, I think that JAKK will get bought out this year. Whether it happens now or later, I haven't a clue. But as a true believer in the toy stocks (TMAX, RADAF, ZNDTY, JAKK, EMAK, etc.), I hope that JAKK's ascent brings some attention to the beleaguered, yet recovering, toy stocks. Someone mentioned MWY and insider buying. Yes, MWY is a very good value at the current price. Sumner Redstone has been loading up.

And what are the chances that it will be by THQI? We would then have 100% of WWF.

Or...what if someone else bought JAKK to somehow wrestle (forgive the pun) the WWF license away from THQI. Is that possible??

uugghhh! We'd be tagged as a toy company again.....all those cyclical toy earnings....I'd love to have 100% of the WWF but not put on the "toy" mantle to get it. I guess they could keep the JAKK's business a separate subsidiary, but THQ already has trouble getting respect now, even with their stellar performance, and I doubt if "toys" would help.
