All true statements (at least as of most recent publicly available information). None contradictory to what I said.

"suspended particle device" IS SPD and IS REFR's protected technology. Licensees can use technology to develop new products, but they still have to pay REFR a royalty.. Google "suspended particle device" and all you see are thousands and thousands of links to products, licensees or scientific explanations of SPD. All discussing REFR's SPD.

From Wikipedia:

In suspended particle devices (SPDs), a thin film laminate of rod-like nano-scale particles is suspended in a liquid and placed between two pieces of glass or plastic, or attached to one layer. When no voltage is applied, the suspended particles are randomly organized, thus blocking and absorbing light. When voltage is applied, the suspended particles align and let light pass. Varying the voltage of the film varies the orientation of the suspended particles, thereby regulating the tint of the glazing and the amount of light transmitted.

SPDs can be manually or automatically "tuned" to precisely control the amount of light, glare and heat passing through, reducing the need for air conditioning during the summer months and heating during winter. Smart glass can be controlled through a variety of mediums, such as automatic photosensors and motion detectors, smartphone applications, integration with intelligent building and vehicle systems, knobs or light switches.

Smart glass light-control technology increases users' control over their environment, provides for better user comfort and well-being and improves energy efficiency. The technology provides over 99% UV blockage and state switching in 1 to 3 seconds. In cars, the range of light transmission for the technology is 50-60 times darker than a typical sunroof to twice as clear as an ordinary sunroof. Published data by Mercedes-Benz shows that SPD technology can reduce cabin temperatures inside a vehicle by 18 °F (10 °C). Other advantages include reduction of carbon emissions and the elimination of a need for expensive window dressings.

SPD-Smart Glass was patented by the public company Research Frontiers.

Guess short sellers must be grasping at straws. The million or so short position needs to be covered and with REFR owning THE technology of the smart glass future (there are no competitors --View,, Sage etc are subsidized and spend millions each year) doesn't look like anyone will be selling. Large blocks on the ask are reassuring that someone doesn't want this stock to go higher.

I could go on for a very long time ripping this post to shreds, but I have better things to be doing. So I will just note the amazing mental gymnastics this final bit goes through. She asserts no one is selling, then immediately notes "large blocks on the ask", which are, by definition, attempts to sell stock.

Google "this is fine meme" to see what Dixon's "reassurance" brings to mind.

Fokker lists these as 'game changers'--I apologize, I am having trouble figuring out if the other items listed have already happened(implying that they have the BBJ contract for something) or if these are mile markers yet to be achieved. I believe, that although getting into the commercial market would be better, being an OEM level option on the biz jets is also very nice...

Maybe they mean the skyview option--still the implication is that there are at least orders for it from boeing rather than just having been a mock-up.

""
Fokker is constantly looking for new ways to achieve goals that can improve products, systems and services:

Weight reduction of aircraft parts and systems Cost reduction of aircraft parts and systems Increase in employability and reliability of aircraft Reduction of "total cost of ownership" and aircraft maintenance costsParticipating in innovation platforms such as FMLC (Fiber Metal Laminates), TAPAS (Thermoplastics), TPRC (Thermoplastics), and Clean Sky (European Studies), together with customers, suppliers and knowledge institutions, have proved to be a boost for true innovations. Below a number of Fokker game changers:

Hopefully, it's more than just this..... Price needs to come down and then we'll see if we're right about demand clearing....

Fokker Technologies offers a 1,5 meter-long panoramic window, initially destined for the Boeing Business Jet. Customers have already signed up, it's supposed to fly in two to three years, a maximum of four windows would structurally possible per aircraft. The whole thing is called iShade and electronically dimmable.

Weekend Update

Amazingly, the spread has narrowed, for the day, at least.

Currently, the spread is $148071, advantage pocci

Remember, this contest does not count the dividends of the pocci portfolio, only dividends paid by REFR.

To date, REFR has paid no dividends. RSP has paid dividends every quarter, but for the purposes of this contest, they are not being counted.

Check out FINRA's website. They offer excellent advice about the risks of investing in penny stocks.

This video is 2 Russian guys installing EC windows into the front sides of an SUV and doing a meter reading.
Tinting in the course of a minute and a half and it still had a clear circle in the middle, and that was looking through both doors ( closed ) .
No competition, not in cars, much much too slow and not that dark

Was there a PR from RFI that I missed?
Was there a PR from Vision Systems that I missed?

NO.

So, are you on a wild conjecture about words like, "could" and "and/or"? That is even a stretch for an old RFI apostle like you.

Doesn't sound like "news" to me.........more like wild foundless wishing........you are not even speculating.
Again, you have nothing. And the SP shows you have nothing.

When I started buying decades ago, the performance that exists today is pretty much what I imagined it would look it--a little bluer, but otherwise what I thought. I'd guess most longs on this list feel that way. The question is are we right, is there tons of demand for the performance characteristics that SPD offers.

It's hard to say one way or the other right now. There are applications and more and more, but there hasn't been, imo, a killer app that has so much demand that it is price insensitive at these levels. If SPD were free, would every car look like the continental demo? I think so. So the question is can the supply chain get the price down. Given how far the technology has come, I think it's pretty safe bet that they can get it cheaper, and then we'll see if people fall all over themselves to buy it.

But the paltry number of S class vehicles using it, is a negative as is the lack of copying by Audi and BMW. I figure there were about 1150 S class built with MSC in the first half of 2017... 31% * 705k / $200. So that hardly inspires confidence about demand at these prices. OTOH, imo, sunroofs are kind of a gimick comapred to windshields and rear side windows. EV's seem to like it alot more and the EV's are coming....
