Thanks Daniel, but I am in Canada, and once you add in the extra $5.00 it seems to be as expensive as Dial Data (with discount for download over the Internet). I appreciate the reply.

Casey, take a look at Primate, 20$/mo download anytime, historical data, today's data ready at 6pm Eastern. Excellent software and data is completely compatible with Metastock. I use Metastock as well.

A good current book on the life of a speculator is The Education of a Speculator by Victor Niederhoffer (trader for George Soros).

Roger, David, Donald: Thanks for the laughs (honest!)

You guys are keeping me well entertained - I need it today, I dumped my 10000 Adex Mining (never heard of it? - not surprised, a dog that now won't even bark) for a 60% loss - at least it bought me 200 more IPM. Should be easy to recoup this loss now (and soon I suspect - love that pennant on the chart) ...

Getting dirtier by the day,

Rock (Dirt) Doctor

(PS The "spanking" quips were superb!)

Dan; Yes if registered. If not the Brokers gets a bunch and is supposed to forward them to all, but there are often delays. Make sure you have the proper proof of shareholdins, or you can be denied entry. IPMCF may be a lot less formal, and let everyone in who choses, but some are very sticky.

Findley: << yawns, snores, sniffles, caveats, antacid >>

My hats off to both of you for putting a prognostication on the line. Thirty days covers all the trading days through Memorial Day. We'll see who is cooking and who gets BBQ'd then, eh?

<<Isn't part of the drop in volume due to the rise in price?>>

No. Most stocks rise on increased volume and fall on decreased volume while in an uptrend.

This is rather unususal.

Of course stocks in a downtrend behave in the opposite.

<< Come on, GUYS! Settle down and have a beer. >>

Could you have made a better recommendation of beer?

A stout!
A western stout!
A miner's stout!
A western miner's stout!

I am impressed (and thirsty).

I believe it can go as low as $14/mon if you prepay a year, right?

Have you actually used Primate?

Off Topic: If you aren't interested in a fable, move on <g>

<< Just because someone spanks you doesn't mean they don't love you as well <G>. >>

I was inspired to write this when I saw chucau2pt's crabbing <g> about "semi-lurkers" in another thread.

There was once a sparrow who stayed north a little too late in the fall and got caught in a killing frost. The bird froze stiff and fell off his perch onto the road below.

Just as the bird was about to expire, a cow came along and dumped a big ol' cow pie on the sparrow. "Oh, this is the ultimate insult," the bird thought. But after a few moments, the warmth of the dung began to thaw the sparrow out.

The happy bird managed to pop his head out of the cow pie. "I'm so happy, I could sing all day!" he said, and he whistled a beautiful melody. Suddenly, he felt a slight tugging at his neck. "Hey, someone has come to get me ou..." but the sparrow was not able to finish his sentence before a fox swallowed him right up.

There are three morals to this story:

1. Not everyone who dumps on you is your enemy.
2. Not everyone who pulls you out of the deep doo is your friend.
3. When you are up to your neck in it, sometimes the best thing to do is sit there and shut up!

See ya. . .
