Hi CLINT!

Thanks Clint for the posts. Since i worked all day i took ATHM home over weekend. It's a small position. Wish it would've closed more in middle of daily range. Selling everything was probably smarter...
HAve a good weekend. Will go on a river trip to relax...

Take care.

Stefan

To all momentum traders:

I thought it might interest readers of this thread to see recently closed short trades made with the Befriend the Trend Trading system. We are now almost exclusively focusing on the short side.

If interested, see: Message 9684751 and Message 9684832

Maybe it is the weekend and I am too relaxed(!) but somehow I think you did the smart move. I should have kept them all too. I may re-enter on Monday for a quick bounce.

Unless something develops over the weekend, I don't see why the NAZ shouldn't see a bounce on Monday. In that case, your athm should rise to 140 in a couple of days.

I wouldn't expect too big of a push, though. Just a bounce followed by profit taking.

The recent rise in the stock market has been so broad that any dramatic drop will not come as sharply and quickly as it used to. There has to be a major shift in sentiment triggered by a significant shift in earnings prospect, interest rates, and/or inflation scenario before we see any serious drop. The kind of zig-zag action that we witness now is normal and IMO could last through the 3rd week of June, after I come back from vacation.

Hi Thomas,

Are ou still using stochastics as your primary signal with the
50 and 200 EMA for support and resistance levels to time your trades or have you refined your system? I remember so your original posts on the BTT thread.

Thanks

Harry

Jim,

Thanks for the link. It is a long weekend here in Canada.
I am trying to catch up on the news. I just got back from the
business trip from HELL . My laptop died
the night before I was about to leave, condemning my presentation
and my program executable and source files to oblivion. The master
cylinder for the brakes on my car gave out when I need it the most.
Eventaully, I make it back to the office to get a another laptop.
I drop the backup laptop at work because some one did not close the zipper to the case before storing it away, so I was not too sure if it would work properly. It's was already midnight, so I spent the time till just before I got on the plane at 7:30AM restoring my system, re-installing my compilers and modifying the code from the backups to get the program back to where it was supposed to be. So I fly in with no sleep, I have to set up for my presentation and then I have to go out to do the social business thing. I get four hours of sleep,
then spend all day in a presentation and then fly out that night.
All this in two day. Boy, I am glad to be home.

I have not heard the conference calls or reviewed the numbers in detail yet, but It looks like ADCT and CIEN had strong quarters.

Did I miss any big economic news while I was gone?

On New York restaurants, try the Blue Ribbon in Greenwich village if you are looking for a late night place to finish the evening at. It is open till 3 am.

I am still looking for an artsy course so I can spend so time in New York this summer. I have done the tourist thing. I thought I might be fun to do the student thing. There no student like an old student..

Have a good weekend

Harry
