Prediction: AAPL @ 30 Before December 15th, even sooner.

When Wall Street sees that things are not soooo bad we will
see 5-6% leaps daily; they have considered in the current price that all AAPL is good for the future is to stay afloat.

Man this company has real profits, real assets, real history and a zealot following.

Ah, and SJ : The Man.

Reminds me of the good ol' days when I used to try and get gigs for some NJ rock bands..... You know, at the really big joints like the local Ground Round! <grin> Ex-promoter Yogi

See Apple can sell stock as well as computers!

Up 1 1/4.

HerbVic

Edit: Well perhaps it's not as well as they sell computers, but in addition to selling computers.

It seems to be almost a common sense type of product to create. Am I missing something?

Would it surprise anyone to know that up until a couple of weeks ago, the fastest UltraSparc II CPU available in any Sun machine was 440MHz? Even now, their high-end, million-dollar-plus servers use only those CPUs. Sure, they have up to 64 of them, but they're only 440MHz.

Have you ever used any of their machines as sole user mode? They seem awfully sluggish. When they excel is when you start adding users. An intel box starts conking out at 10 users, a good sun box supports over a hundred "active" users without much problem...

Hi Sabre, The VIX sure gave us a nice hint that we were overdue for some type of rally here..... And let's thank our lucky stars that AAPL is finally participating in a market rally this time around! Think I will break out some bubbly right about now..... well, that may be overdoing it just a little bit..... <grin> Have a very good weekend, Yog.

Do investors out there even look at stuff like PE anymore?

Many do not I'm afraid. Far too many in fact. And while it is often said that a stock's PE ratio is no longer a very useful tool or reliable indicator these days, I still say that in many cases it can certainly give us at least a wee bit of a slight hint as to which shares may be over or undervalued..... Some stocks are what I call "cult stocks" though, where higher PE's are allowed for them just because, because "they" said so! Such is life, where unfair discrimination will never be completely eliminated. Yogi

Very interesting commentary. We certainly have to do much better about being so depressingly dependent on foreign oil supplies which I have been stating on public bulletin boards for over ten years now, but no one seems to be listening..... At least George Bush has stated his awareness of this deeply serious ongoing problem we have that definitely threatens the future security of our nation. It's high time our leaders actually do something about it instead of just more useless talking..... Yogi
