OT: Sorry, I don't do lamb. Makes me toss, I kid you not. Don't try to fool me, either. A couple that tired was not happy about it, when I did not pass their dinner table "test."

How Will Apple's 2013 Earnings Shape Up?

Apple ( AAPL) has been making money at a startling clip. Profit growth is accelerating. Over the last 6 months, Apple earned 104% more than in the analogous period a year ago. Here's the crazy part: Analysts forecast 2013 profits rising only 15.5%. Huh?

Take a gander at Apple's Y-O-Y growth:

Bullish Play On Apple Into 2013

Since 2009, Apple's ( AAPL) stock has consistently made new highs. Remarkably, even if you bought it at its very peak during each year, you made substantial gains 52 weeks later. From 2009's high to 2010's high, you gained 53% in share value. From 2010 to 2011, you gained 31% in value. From 2011 to 2012, you gained 51% in value. What will be the increase in value for 2012-2013? While no one really knows how much higher Apple can go, a safe argument can be made as to where Apple won't be - lower.

Listed below are the yearly highs for Apple stock since 2009.

Apple Stock Yearly Highs:

2009 HIGH: 213.95
2010 HIGH: 326.66
2011 HIGH: 426.70
2012 HIGH: 644.00

Man, those freelance dudes at Seeking Alpha can really make some supremely fanciful extrapolations based on their hot air, huh?

A "safe argument" about where AAPL will be next year? Safe? In the stock market? A year from now? My foot.

Rumor, rumor, rumor:

Apple MacBook Pro 2012 Rumor Update: The Ultra Thin Laptop To Get Better With SSD And A Mammoth Battery

As if the rumors about the release and features of Samsung Galaxy S3 and iPhone 5 are not enough, the tech world has turned
to another device - Apple's MacBook Pro 2012, which is reported to be released by June.

The current rumors have sprawled around the highly anticipated device, stating that the ultra thin laptop will have a much bigger
battery than the current iteration, an SSD and a standard hard disk drive without an optical drive.

Earlier reports predicted that Apple might drop the 17-inch MacBook Pro from its lineup due to weak sales and to streamline the
company's product offerings. However, according to recent reports by Slashgear, the folks over there have mentioned that
Apple will not cut down the size of the MacBook Pro to that of the MacBook Air, which they noted made sense because both
devices targeted different audiences.

But over 60%(??) of the cash are oversea and there will be a 35% penalty for bringing them in.

No problem, just do a Microsoft. Issue debt in the US at a ludicrously low rate and use it to pay dividends and buy back shares. If interest on the debt is tax deductible, even better <LOL!>
