Rupert Murdoch and Dow Jones did the next best thing. They sold the Dow Jones Industrial Average, and Transportation Average and Utility Average, to CME Group, retaining a minority interest, and keeping in-place the "board" the controlling family insisted on (for a limited period?) when News Corp. bought DJ. Interesting that Barron's would have that as its cover story.

God, I hope not. That would be massively inconvenient on the subway.

If one could fold it up like the paper, and read just the part one is interested in, like on the subway, why not?

Then unfold it to 50", this time of night.....

Tea, Earl Grey, hot? :-)))

maybe not "yellow journalsim" as I charged,

It's all about the clicks these days, so yellow journalism sounds about right to me. Who cares about the truth? Even the most benign of facts can be skewed to generate a sensational headline. Oldest trick in the book.

And to think, Steve Jobs, when he was alive, had such a high regard for the NYT. Oh, how far we have fallen!
